How to play archery

Touch your finger (or hold the mouse button) anywhere on the screen to draw the string. Without letting go, drag to move the aim and release to shoot. Wait for the power bar to fill: an arrow shot without full power falls short of the point you aimed at.

The wind pushes the arrow in the direction shown by the flag and the “Wind” panel: the stronger the wind and the farther the target, the bigger the drift. Aim a little into the wind to compensate. The aim sways on its own; release when it passes the right point, and don’t hold too long, because your arm tires and the shake increases.

The target has 10 rings: the yellow center is worth 10 and 9, red 8 and 7, blue 6 and 5, black 4 and 3, and white 2 and 1. Add up the minimum score for the round with 10 arrows to move on to the next level. On the keyboard, the arrow keys move the aim and Space draws and releases the string; P pauses.

Frequently asked questions

How do I allow for the wind in archery?

Check the wind direction and strength before each arrow. If it blows to the right, aim to the left of the center. On the early levels the drift is small; over long distances, a strong wind can push the arrow more than a whole ring.

Why did my arrow fall short of the aim?

You released before the power bar was full. With the string pulled only halfway, the arrow loses speed and drops. Wait for the bar to turn green and then shoot.

How does the record work?

The record is the sum of all the points you scored from the first level until you fail to reach a round’s goal. It is saved in this browser.
