How to play fishing
Move the boat from side to side and drop the hook when a fish swims below. The hook drops in a straight line and catches the first fish it touches; then just wait for it to reel up to the boat to collect the coins.
Each fish is worth a different amount: the blue sardine is worth little and nothing near the surface, while the green grouper and the rare golden fish hide deep down and are worth much more. Big fish are heavy and rise slowly. Watch out for the jellyfish: it gives a shock and the hook comes back empty and slow. The old boot is hardly worth anything.
Each round has a time limit and a coin goal. Reach the goal and you enter the shop, where you can buy a longer line, a faster reel, a bigger hook, better bait (more rare fish) and more round time. If time runs out before the goal, the game ends.

Which upgrade should I buy first?
The longer line is usually worth the most at the start, because it reaches the deep fish, which pay much more. After that, the reel helps you reel in heavy fish quickly, and the bait increases the chance of catching the golden fish.
Can I reel the hook back in before it reaches the bottom?
Yes. While the hook is going down, tap again (or press Space) to make it start rising. It can still catch fish on the way back up.
