How to play the train game
Each train that leaves the tunnel has a color, and the map has one station for each color. Your job is that of a railway controller: get each train to the right station. The trains move on their own; you only take care of the switches.
The switches are the white circles at the forks. The blue arrow shows where the next train will go, and the track segment highlighted in blue confirms the path. Tap or click a switch to change its side. On the keyboard, press the switch’s number, or pick one with the arrow keys and switch it with Space or Enter.
Each train at the right station is worth 10 points. Three trains at the wrong station and the level ends. When you finish a level, each mistake left over becomes a bonus, and the next level unlocks, with more colors, more switches and faster trains. You can pause with the button or with P/Esc.
Frequently asked questions
Does the train game get harder?
Yes. There are 12 levels: the first has 2 stations and a single switch, and the last has 8 stations, 7 switches and trains leaving the tunnel much faster and closer together.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. The levels you have unlocked and your point record are stored in the browser, so you can come back later and pick up where you left off.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes. Just tap the switches. The map fits the width of the screen and also works on tablets and computers, with nothing to install.
