How to play the snake game
The snake keeps moving on its own, never stopping. You only choose which way it turns: the arrow keys or W, A, S, D on the keyboard, the d-pad below the board or swiping your finger on the phone screen. Each apple eaten makes the snake grow one segment and scores points.
Every 5 apples, a bonus star appears that disappears after a few seconds — the faster you catch it, the more points you earn. The snake also speeds up a little with every apple, so the game gets more exciting as it goes.
Before starting, choose the speed (higher speeds multiply the points) and whether the walls are on. With walls, hitting the edge ends the game; without walls, the snake passes through and comes out the other side. In either mode, running into your own body is game over. P or Esc pauses.

What is the difference between walls on and off?
With walls on, the edge of the board is like a wall and hitting it ends the game. With walls off, the edge is dashed and the snake passes from one side to the other, which makes the game more relaxed and great for making huge snakes.
How do I score more points in the snake game?
Play at a higher speed (each apple is worth 10 to 40 points depending on the speed) and don’t miss the bonus star. Moving along the edges and in organized zigzags leaves you room when the snake gets long.
