How to play the Pac-Man style maze
You control the Chomper, a hungry blue ball. Walk the corridors and eat all the orange dots to clear the level. The tunnels on the sides lead from one side of the maze to the other, and every level changes the maze: there are 4 different layouts that repeat faster and faster.
Four little ghosts come out of the den in the middle of the map. The red one goes straight after you, the pink one tries to cut you off ahead, the green one works out its route together with the red one to close in, and the orange one chases from afar but runs to its corner when you get close. Every so often they scatter to the corners and give you a break.
The big yellow pellets scare the ghosts for a few seconds: then you are the hunter, and each ghost eaten in a row is worth more (200, 400, 800 and 1,600). Two fruits appear per level at the starting point and are worth extra points. You start with 3 lives and earn one more at 10,000 points. On the keyboard use the arrow keys or WASD and P to pause; on the phone, swipe over the maze or use the buttons.
Frequently asked questions
Why do the ghosts suddenly change direction?
They alternate between chasing you and scattering to the corners of the maze. Whenever they switch mode, or when you eat a power pellet, they all turn around. Use that moment to escape a trap.
What is the best strategy for a high score?
Save the power pellets for when the ghosts are close and eat all four in a row for 3,000 points. The tunnels help too: the ghosts move more slowly inside them.
