How to play the Rubik’s cube online
Drag a sticker from the edge of a face to turn that layer in the direction of the movement. Dragging on the background (or on the center of a face) turns the whole cube so you can see the other sides. On the keyboard, the letters U, D, R, L, F and B turn the top, bottom, right, left, front and back faces; with Shift the turn is counterclockwise (U’, D’…).
Tap “Scramble” to get a mix of 25 moves, like in competitions. The timer starts with the first turn and stops by itself when all the faces are a single color; your best time is saved in your browser.
Still don’t know how to solve it? Turn on “Hints”: the game recognizes which step of the layer-by-layer method your cube is at (white cross, first layer, second layer, yellow cross, yellow face and last layer) and shows what to do, with the sequence of turns. White always stays on the bottom and yellow on top, with green in front.

What do letters like R, U and F’ mean?
It is the notation used worldwide: R is the right face, L the left, U the top, D the bottom, F the front and B the back. A letter on its own is a clockwise turn when looking at that face; with an apostrophe (’) it is counterclockwise, and with a 2 it is a half turn.
Is this the official Rubik’s cube?
No. It is an independent virtual 3×3 cube, with the same rules as the puzzle that became famous as the Rubik’s cube. It works on phone and computer, with nothing to install.
