Hashi Puzzle Online – Bridges
Also known as Hashiwokakero or Bridges: link the islands so each one has exactly the number of bridges shown and they all join up into one network. Every map is new and has a single solution.
How to play Hashi
Each circle is an island, and its number tells you how many bridges leave it. Bridges run straight, horizontally or vertically, and two islands can be joined by at most two bridges.
Bridges may not cross other bridges or pass over islands. When you are done, every island must be connected to all the others in one single group.
Drag from an island towards its neighbour (or tap one island, then the other) to add a bridge; repeat for a double bridge and once more to remove it. Finished islands turn green and islands with too many bridges turn red.
Frequently asked questions
What does Hashi mean?
“Hashi” is Japanese for “bridge”. The full name, Hashiwokakero, roughly means “build bridges”, which is exactly what you do.
Where should I start?
With islands that have no choice. An 8 with four neighbours needs double bridges in every direction, and so does a 4 with only two neighbours. Corner islands and islands with a single neighbour usually unlock the rest.
Can I connect two islands marked 1 to each other?
Only if they are the only two islands on the map. Otherwise they would form an isolated pair, and the rules require every island to be connected.
