Reaction Time Test

Wait for the screen to turn green, then click as fast as you can. See your reaction time in milliseconds.

How to take the reaction time test

Click the test area to begin. It turns red: hold on. After a random delay it turns green, and that’s your cue to click as fast as possible.

Click too early and the try doesn’t count. You get 5 valid tries, and at the end you’ll see your average reaction time.

Most people average between 200 and 300 milliseconds. Lack of sleep, fatigue and even your mouse or monitor can slow you down.

Frequently asked questions

What’s a good reaction time?

Anything under 250 ms is good. Pro gamers and athletes tend to land somewhere around 150 to 200 ms.

Is my phone slower than my computer?

It can be. Different screens and devices add small delays, so always compare your results on the same device.
