Random Team Generator
Enter the names, choose how many teams and let the team generator split everyone up fairly.
How to generate random teams
Type each person’s name, one per line. Then choose how many teams you want to split the group into.
Tap “Make teams.” The names are shuffled and dealt out one by one, so every team gets the same number of people (or just one off).
Don’t like the result? Shuffle again as many times as you want, then copy the teams to share in your group chat.
Frequently asked questions
Is the team generator fair?
Yes. The order of the names is shuffled with your browser’s random number generator before the teams are split.
Can I use it for pickup basketball or soccer?
Definitely. Add all the players and choose 2 teams. Want to split up the goalies or your best players? Draw them separately first.
